I had an interesting experiences yesterday and today while trading the local index futures market (Bursa Malaysia Composite Index Futures*).
After the last drop, the local stock market had since recovered and was trading at higher levels. And it has been going up continuously the last one week. A few days back, as my partner and I were reading the charts, we noticed that there might be a chance of a pull back in the flow.
We started to trade the stocks more cautiously and we also started to “short” the index futures market. The futures market basically dictates the stock market. We observed that the futures market was having difficulty to rise and seemed to have
hit a resistance level; hence, we started to “short” the futures a bit more aggressively.
Towards yesterday evening, I was having my usual maximum “shorts” size in the futures and the market was sliding down. I was smiling to myself as my partner and I felt that we made the right decision in shorting the futures market.
Just then, something occurred to me. I was trading at my current contract maximum size for quite some time that I was feeling quite comfortable with it. My heart was telling me to increase the size. I told myself that it was about time to increase my
trading size.
Just as I increased my position, the market slid down further. It felt good as I was in tune with the market. As I continued to increase my position, I was now trading two times my usual size! Suddenly, I felt fear! Right at that time, the market rebounded a little and I got worried.
In my mind, I kept focusing on my goals and kept repeating to myself over and over again that I was feeling the fear because I was trying something “new”; that is, I am moving into a new territory that I had never ventured before!
Just as in Star Trek, “..to boldly go where no man has gone before”, the famous quote! Slowly, my nerves calmed down and I started to look at the market objectively. As it was close to the evening, most day-traders would want to close out their positions; as such the market was basically doing a mild rebound. Just as I thought, toward the close of the market, it plunged and closed at the lowest.
I was already feeling a bit jittery because I realized that I would have to hold the position until tomorrow morning to know whether I would make big money or not. Anything could happen. The US markets and the European markets could just suddenly
bounce up and the local market could open much higher.
This would translate as losses for my futures positions! If they went down, it would be good for my positions. These were the thoughts present in my mind. Just then my partner who had been quietly watching me said, “Nervous, my friend?” and laughed.
As I have written in my previous article, my partner is very experienced in the markets and to him the situation that we were in at that moment was pretty normal. By the way, he was holding a much bigger short contract positions than I was.
He said that he was happy that finally I took a bigger position and dared to take bigger risk. “It is about time, my friend”, he said. I smiled. As I continued to focus on my goals, and explained to myself again and again the need to take the risk in order to grow, and that it was a calculated risk, my jitters slowly faded away.
That night I slept peacefully. By this morning, I noticed that there was not much movement in the US markets. And when the local markets opened, it plunged about ten points. Then it held there for about fifteen minutes.
My partner started to close off his short positions and I followed suit. At this level, we were already making handsome profits. At the same time, I felt it in my heart to hold on for a while, but I decided not to push my luck too far! Just as we finished closing all our positions, the market just dived!
Ten minutes later it was THIRTY points lower! We shook our heads in disbelief! We could have easily made at least THREE times the profit if we had just held on to ourpositions for another 10 minutes! We were definitely frustrated!
After about twenty minutes, we found out that the plunge was due to the plunge in Shanghai Stock Exchange. Just then, I laughed to myself. My partner noticed and asked why the laugh. I said that I felt truly silly. Eyebrows raised, he waited for me to explain.
Here I was feeling frustrated that I could not make more money, where just yesterday, I was worried about losing. Nature has been kind enough to give me profits for the risk I took, so I should just be grateful for it!
My partner, who truly is a wise man and was calm throughout yesterday and today, simply said, “Absolute TRUTH, my friend! What is yours will be yours and what is not, will simply not be! We just keep doing our best and let God decide the returns for our efforts!”
I smiled and nodded!

Have Faith And You Will Be Rewarded!
I had an interesting conversation with one of my friends, Ramesh the other day. It was about an event that took place two days ago. Ramesh was working on a special project, over the last one week, designing brochures for one of my Personal Coaching participants.
Now, this participant of mine has tremendous potential and was naturally gifted in the field that he was passionate about. However, due to poor planning, irrelevant advice and lack of experience, he unwittingly got stuck doing something that he did
not like. It did not bring him much income and he was always cash strapped.
However, his resolve to have a change in life and pursue whathis heart yearned to do was very strong. He did his best to attend the workshops that I conducted, regularly; in fact, he repeatedly attended a few of the workshops. He would discuss
with me about the insights I gave in the seminar and I was very much aware that he did his best to practice Nature’s Laws, truthfully.
Based on his vibrations and the questions he asked, I could tell that he sincerely practiced Nature’s Laws! I would like to share, here, my knowledge and experiences on what an individual’s ‘vibration’ can tell about the person. My participants ask questions on various subjects during my training programs, especially questions related to goals and life, in general.
There are also some who ask questions for the sake of asking! There are some who ask questions simply to challenge my credibility! And there are those who ask questions simply to look ‘intelligent’ in front of the others in the group!
There are also some who ask questions with preconceived answers in their mind; they just want me to agree with them, and I would agree if that is the truth and of course disagree if it is false. Some ask me questions on what to do with their life, but sadly, they only listen to my suggestions and rarely take effort to practice them in their life.
When they meet me again, they would ask the same old question. I, with patience would again repeat what I said earlier, but with different examples. There were times I would not be aware of the answer for the question asked. In that case, I would truthfully admit that I did not know or I was not aware of the answer.
There are some people, though, whom I truly love to listen to their questions; to these individuals, I would happily provide suggestions and offer assistance. These people are rare; they sincerely take effort to practice Nature’s Laws, and they carry
a vibration that is ‘higher’ in nature! Their questions are different in manner, comparatively.
The reason being, these questions can only arise from those who ARE TRULY practicing Nature’s Laws. As they practice, Nature would ‘teach’ them beautiful lessons of TRUTH about life. These lessons are simply great experiences which are void of words! Only one who had threaded the path would understand.
This participant of mine I am talking about was one such person. His vibrations were growing as he practiced Nature’s Laws truthfully. The things that held him back from realizing his true potentials were proper planning, and of course finance. On
and off, my wife and I realized that he was crossing our minds rather often. We admire his resolve in practicing Nature’s Laws. As we discussed about this, my wife looked at me ‘knowingly’; I smiled and nodded and said that we would do something about it.
Then, two weeks ago, my wife arranged for an appointment for us to meet. We met. He was in tears as we offered to help him to come up with a plan and some brochures for him to set up his own business, and market his services. When I spoke of this
participant to Ramesh, he did the designs for the brochures free of charge. Eventually, we got the whole thing done in no time.
My participant was exhilarated to have the printed brochures in his hands. We went through the plans all over again, and he promised that he would do his best and update me regularly on his progress, and seek advice whenever needed. Just before
leaving, he asked me what compelled me to help him as he realized the cost of getting the business set up, marketing, design and a host of other things was quite substantial.
I smiled and said, “It is your vibrations, my friend! As you practice Nature’s Laws, you are basically being truthful. Your vibrations rise! You would naturally attract those who are on similar path. They would naturally be drawn to you and their
spiritual hearts would want to guide you, accordingly; just as my business partner, whom I did not know then, helped me when I was down and out in the beginning.
It is not I who is helping you my friend! It is just Nature doing its work. Just walk the path truthfully. What you have sown would bear fruits and you would reap the rewards of your faith in Nature!”
As he left, my thoughts were on my spiritual master who had passed on long ago, who imparted to me the intimate knowledge and experience of the workings of Nature. When I asked him why he did so, he simply answered, “Your vibrations my son. I am
bound by your love, your practice and your dedication to Nature. How, then, can I not?” I had tears in my eyes…..
